Who am I ?

I am a guy who loves making records. I started out as a Trombone player. Classically trained. When I could start playing guitar and drums it all changed. I started recording local bands on a Tascam 424. Then a 688. Then Pro Tools. I interned at a few small town local studios. I called and met anyone who I looked up to as a musician and engineer. I once got Alan Moulder on the phone for 20 minutes and asked him to explain to me the process of mixing records for My Bloody Valentine and Smashing Pumpkins - I felt at the time like I was talking to god. I was in a few bands, toured the US, but in the end felt that I belonged in the studio. I've been incredibly fortunate to work with some well known artists, and I've never stopped exploring the art of composition and recording. My focus is rock and electronic music, my studio is based around being able to be in a room together to collaborate and work efficiently, and I will be doing this for the rest of my life. As an engineer I've dedicated myself to the art of recording - capturing and manipulating sound. As a musician, my philosophy is "everything is an instrument" and can be used to make music. Creativity, self-expression, and pushing boundaries - all very important to me.
